Hi customer, It's that time again. Cinco de Mayo (Spanish for "Fifth of May") is a regional holiday in Mexico, primarily celebrated in the state of Puebla, with some limited recognition in other parts of Mexico. However, we'll be celebrating this holiday in Chicago with live music by Caribica, $5.00 mojitos, $2.00 Dos Equis and Corona beers, so please stop by. Don't forget Mother's Day on Sunday, May 10! Cinco de Mayo (Spanish for "Fifth of May") is a regional holiday in Mexico, primarily celebrated in the state of Puebla, with some limited recognition in other parts of Mexico. The holiday commemorates the Mexican army's unlikely defeat of French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862, under the leadership of Mexican General Ignacio Zaragoza Seguín. CARIBICA was formed in 2002. Originally known as Grupo Amigo, founding members Angel Camacho, Victor Camacho, and Giovanni "Jose" Perez performed a combination of Latin contemporaries and classics with a mix of some easy listening and pop. Angel D'Cuba in the Solar System, featuring the soulful and dynamic vocals of Angel d'Cuba, have appeared on local television stations WGN Chicago and WTTW Chicago as well as on cable TV's the Food Chanel.
