Making affordable financing available for potential customers is the right move for Microsoft to make at this time. By introducing a 0% interest promotion to qualified customers, they have created a compelling reason to acquire Dynamics-GP at the time an organization needs it to remain competitive and build for the future. We previously discussed the basics of Business Intelligence. BI is simply getting information to the decision makers in an appropriate format, when needed. It can be delivered as a dashboard with current information, reports of operational conditions and/or financial statements. Microsoft Excel is everyone's favorite reporting tool! We can set up reports, charts and pivot tables in Excel, which are automatically updated with information from Microsoft Dynamics-GP. It's time for your year-end close. The most frequently asked question we hear in January is, "How do I open a new year in Microsoft Dynamics-GP?" The fiscal period setup screen is located under Setup Company in the Tools menu (not the Setup Financial). In Version 10 this may be accessed under the Microsoft Dynamics-GP menu or from the Administration screen. Once on the setup screen, enter the Year (2009), number of periods (defaults to 12), first and last day of the year. Press the Calculate button to create the periods and you are done! ...You can create letters based on information already in Microsoft Dynamics-GP?
Microsoft has included over 100 Microsoft Word templates addressing common issues related to Customers, Employees and Vendors, which can be easily customized. Individual letters can be accessed from the Customer, Vendor, Employee cards by clicking on the Write Letter button at the top of the window. Mass mailings can also be prepared using the Smart List to set your own criteria. Contact us for help with this or any other feature. |
