Youth development through rugby

Hi rugger,

Welcome to the world of youth rugby in Illinois.  As we move forward with new initiatives to expand and improve youth rugby in Illinois we take time to remember a former player who is no longer with us.

In Memory

Newsletter photo

It is with sorrow that we report the sudden death of Vincent Clarkson on Monday, October 19, 2009 at the University of Illinois Campus in Champaign, Illinois. Vincent was a member of the St Charles State Champions team in 2007 and was a member of the Illinois Tornados rugby touring team that went to England and Wales in 2008. Vincent was the son of Joe and Sue Clarkson. Joe Clarkson is a former USA Eagle and played for the national rugby team in 1986-87. In memory of Vincent the Illinois Youth Rugby Association has established a Fund that will support players that may not have the opportunity to experience rugby in the same manner as Vincent.
