Some of you may have been receiving regular email updates from us, which we hope you have been enjoying. As you can see, we have now switched systems and have updated our template, as well as our website. We will be sending our newsletter on a monthly basis.
We want to keep our customers informed as to what is going on at our restaurant but we understand if you no longer wish to receive email updates from us. Please use the 'Unsubscribe' link at the top to leave our list—you will no longer receive communication from us.

We are also helping the people of Haiti in their hour of need. You will be indirectly helping just by eating at our restaurant until February 14.

On Friday, Saturday and Sunday (14th), we are going to celebrate Valentine's Day with you!
Starting with an all new appetizer, a Lobster Tail and Sirloin dinner, and we'll sweeten it up with a special Valentine's Day dessert. Finally, our "mixologist" has been busy mixing just the right blend of sweet nectars with our own private reserve stock just for this very special occasion.
We will be open from 11:00am to 11:00pm on Friday and Saturday, and 12:00pm noon to 9:00pm on Sunday.

Helping Haiti
From January 19th to February 14th, a percentage of all liquor and food served at Cafe Laguardia and Cafe Laguardia West will be donated to the Haiti Relief Fund.
The theme for this benefit is going to be called: TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

The USCA "Best of Local Business" Award Program recognizes outstanding local businesses throughout the country. Each year, the USCA identifies companies that they believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and community.
Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. The 2009 USCA Award Program focused on quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the USCA and data provided by third parties.

(Our Very Own) Cuban Nachos: Green Plantains (Tostones) covered with melted cheese, guacamole, tomatoes, onion, sour cream and cilantro.
Oxtail Stew (rated best in Chicago): The oxtail is marinated for 3 days in a traditional red wine and tomato sauce. It is then slowly simmered with sweet peppers, onions plus other Island spices until the meat just falls off the bone. Served Caribbean style with rice and black beans (congri), along with boiled cassava smothered in garlic sauce for added flavor.
