Professional web design

Hi there,

We thought we'd start off by letting you in on a secret... our last newsletter had the highest open rate for over a year with 43%. This is impressive (to us, anyway) because our subscriber base has increased by 64% in a year yet the open rate has increased. That's an extra 50 pairs of eyes and more importantly, potential clients. Cool.

We recently made another successful seminar presentation on Social Media in Business, this time to a lunchtime crowd, which went down better than most of their sandwiches. We are open to offers, Mr. Jobs.

The Market 2 All website should be launched before the end of March so you can see more about our excellent email system. We now have 17 happy clients benefitting from branded email marketing.

Finding talented resources can be difficult especially when you don't live in a big city. The early signs of a recent project are that it is working out well and we should be able to offer more design services to our clients. We'll keep you posted.

Lastly, with the Olympic Winter Games going on in our back yard, we are happy to see that Canada won it's first gold medal on home soil. This is a great story for everyone to enjoy. Enjoy the Games.

All the best,
The PM Design Team

Feature: Thomas Ward Insurance

We were very pleased with the result of this project even though it took about a year from discovery to launch. This could be one of our best.

We incorporated a 3-step quote process (as well as their instant quote system) rather than one big form to encourage more quote requests. This tied into a backend database, which featured several Admin controls, making the business more efficient.

Launch: Ladysmith Days

An exhilarating annual event for over 40 years, Ladysmith Days celebrates the abundant pool of resident entertainers in Ladysmith with an exciting line-up of musicians, singers, and dancers.

The event organizers needed a better website so we used an affordable WordPress theme to not only give the site a makeover but allow the client to update.

Launch: Cafe Laguardia West

This is the sister restaurant to Cafe Laguardia, only on Chicago's west side.

They needed to replace their 100% Flash site with something that not only worked better in the search engines but was easier to update and navigate.

Launch: Lyle & Associates CPA

Introducing a new service is tricky especially when it's not simple to add it to your website.

Due to very old code, we decided to give them a quick makeover in preparation for a new WordPress-driven site.

Launch: The Top Drawer

[Launched yesterday] A local consignment shop, The Top Drawer needed a new look and a new way to communicate.

We delivered both; the website takes a unique look at each category; the email newsletter allows them to communicate effectively with both consigners and shoppers.

Blog: Seminar Preparation Checklist – Make Yourself Look Good

The key to a successful seminar presentation is preparation.

There is nothing worse than turning up to a location and finding that you have forgotten a key piece of equipment or that there is no internet access when you need it. Your attendees have given up their valuable time and expect to see a professional and slick presentation. Or at least what you promised.

We have come up with a great checklist that should help you avoid any pitfalls and make your presentation go as smoothly as possible. People remember a great seminar but never forget a bad one.

The Pulse : Expression Engine

ExpressionEngine sets a new, higher standard for updating a website.

We are proposing that a new website for a local business organization be based on EE for many reasons including:

  • Ease of updating
  • Member Management
  • Communication Tools
  • Support
  • Add-on modules and plugins

We'll keep you posted on our progress.
