Hi customer, On Sunday, June 21, we will be celebrating Father's Day with food and drink specials. Bring the "old man" into the restaurant, buy him his favorite cocktail and let him know how much you appreciate him. After all, men have feelings too! In June, we are also having live music on Tuesdays AND Wednesdays with 4 new additions to our lineup: Cuban Essence (June 3), Planeta Azul Trio on Samba Night (June 10), Guitarra Azul on Flamenco Night (June 17), and Afro-Cuban Ensemble (June 24). We also have an awesome Cuban Oxtail Stew on Fridays and Saturdays only! And if you live in the western suburbs, stop by Cafe Laguardia West at 6818 W. North Ave and say hi to brother Jorge! The first observance of Father's Day is believed to have been held on July 5, 1908 in a church located in Fairmont, West Virginia, by Dr. Robert Webb of West Virginia at the Central United Methodist Church of Fairmont. As part of their search for the Perfect Smoked Meat, the Laguardia Brothers—Jorge and Carlos—are traveling throughout the US, videoing their travels for upload on YouTube.
